Darling's Newport Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

Message: I'm a retired mechanic so I do most all service and repairs on my vehicles. I just replaced both right side front ball joints and replaced both rear shocks so I called and made an appointment for a four wheel alignment. I purchased my 2014 Ram 1500 there at Hartley's Chrysler and have had a lot of service there on things like front end alignment that I cannot do. Last front end alignment they did I paid $79. 95. I was shocked when they charged me $149. 95. Took them 20 minutes and results indicated everything was fine except left toe was just a tiny bit out of spec so adjusted it, done. When I asked about the increase, almost double, was told when they took over they went to a flat rate schedule for all their work. I just cannot afford these prices anymore on a fixed income. So for me I will not be back. Just like everything today, you need a six figure income to afford to pay someone else to do your work for you. That's not me. If you're going to come into a town and take over a business and double prices, there should be discounted pricing for veterans and seniors on fixed incomes that could use it. Just saying.
